The Academic Network, Inc. is an academic diversity corporation aimed at providing effective strategies to colleges and universities in creating a diverse academic atmosphere on campus. Many of our techniques are used at a number of academic institutions and have been instrumental in increasing the number of graduate minority students and minority faculty candidates.
During the year, we conduct a series of academic diversity workshops across the country. Our "How to Recruit Graduate Minority Students" workshop assists you in implementing new methods of locating, recruiting and retaining qualified minority students for your graduate program. Our "How to Recruit Minority Faculty Candidates" workshop provides comprehensive guidance on building feeder programs with minority academic and professional organizations and academic institutions, creating impressive diversity recruitment publications, and incorporating alumni and academic departments in recruitment and retention phases.
Over 332 institutions and 1,250 academic professionals have attended our workshops in the two years!
In addition, we recently introduced our Minority Faculty Applicant Database (MFAD) which directly connects thousands of minority applicants with faculty employment opportunities within higher education.
